Language Arts:
· This week’s comprehension skills will be summarizing and identifying fantasy & reality. We are still working on the story Wolf from our textbooks and the bi weekly assessment will be next week.
· We will also focus on writing skills this week. The students will be writing super sentences and friendly (formal) letters. All letters are expected to be set up correctly and five to seven (super) sentences long. Friday they will write me a letter about their New Years resolution for a grammar grade. Also, for the rest of the year, they are expected to write in cursive only.
· We will not have a spelling list or test this week, however, the students will be graded on spelling throughout the week in their writing. If needed, they may use dictionaries to assist them and ask for help. I will be assessing their spelling in their TTQA answers on tests and super sentences and friendly letters.
